Sorted by expiry date

Dates help you plan; they do not establish food safety. Follow the packaging instructions and consider storage conditions and the actual condition of the food.

Check in with yourself ↗After using food, check the actual scraps and packaging.

Add food

Start with a familiar item; check its amount, storage and date.
How to record quantities

Check the package first: use case for an unopened case, unit for one item, or ml for milk you have already opened. Add separate batches for different dates. Case sizes are never guessed.

Enter 20260930 or 2026-09-30 (year first).

Choose from calendar

Enter the date printed on the packaging. Shelf life is not guessed.

Add to Home Screen

This is a web beta, not an App Store download. Records stay in this browser. Check them after adding it to your Home Screen.

On a computer, open the browser menu and look for Install app or Create shortcut. If neither appears, keep using the web app directly.

On your iPhone, use Safari:

  1. Tap Share; in some layouts, tap More first.
  2. Choose Add to Home Screen. If it is not visible, scroll down or check Edit Actions.
  3. If you see Open as Web App, turn it on and tap Add.

Next time, tap FreshLife on your Home Screen. You need to complete these steps in Safari.

Open online first and check offline readiness in Data & backups. Records stay locally and do not sync with native apps or other devices. Background expiry notifications are not available.

Check your records after installation. If they are missing, export a backup from the original browser and restore it in the new entry. Back up before removing the Home Screen app or clearing browser data.

Where should it go?

Search what is actually left: food, packaging and separate parts may need different routes.

Dispose locally now. Check your city and receiving facility before placing it in a bin.Material rules and sources →

Guidance is not proof of recycling. Searching never deducts stock or creates a collection record.
